The purpose of our collecting your data may occur for the following reasons:

• To ensure that you are credited for you work in the exact way in which you would like to be.

• So that we launch future projects, we can get in touch with you to see if you would like to take part.

• To email you relevant information and updates about our company (if you have subscribed to our mailing list)

 

No sharing: your data will NOT be shared with any third parties separate from Unheard Poetry. Your personal data i.e. email address or social media accounts will only be used within our company for contact purposes or to credit you for your work.

We will only credit you with explicit consent in the form of a contract between you and Unheard Poetry.

Your data will be held as long as it is necessary and useful on our system in case of any future republishing of your work. However if you wish for your information to be removed from our systems we will oblige you.

If you wish to access a copy of your data that we are holding you may.

If you wish to amend your data on our systems you may.

If you wish for your data to be removed from our systems indefinitely we will oblige.

You may request a holt on publishing if you query the accuracy of the data however we will still remain in possession of said data until the matter is resolved.

You may request to receive a copy of your data in a suitable digital format either to you or a third party.

In certain cases, you have the right to protest our processing of your data for example, indirect marketing.

You can object to potentially damaging decisions being taken against you based only on automated data processing

 

You will also receive any notification of automated decision making that may occur using your data.

 

In short, any personal data that you have given us, be it contact information, name, social media accounts etc. that we hold, will only be used in the explicit ways outlined in our contract and we can guarantee that we will not mistreat your trust in exploiting this information.

We are always happy to discuss and resolve and issues, concerns or queries you have regarding your personal data and to remove you from our database with immediate effect if you wish.

We do not collect data on the following:

• Racial and ethnic origin

• Political opinions 

• Religious or philosophical  beliefs 

• Trade Union membership

• Data on health, sex life or sexual orientation 

• Genetic or biometric data

 

All of these informations are irrelevant to us and hold no relevant point of interest within our company.

That said some of our projects aim to celebrate aspects of diversity, however any of the above mentioned information that you choose to disclose to us in relation to these projects will be treated in the same private regard as any other data.

For example: It will only be shared publicly with a post of your work IF YOU HAVE AGREED TO IT. Your consent will be protected via a contract that obliges us to use your data only in the ways in which you have prior agreed. This information can be retracted at any time by you and have no future use, however any information included in an already existing post will remain.
